A perspective from Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley

How high’s the water now?

Written May 27th, 2014 by Hasso Hering

You were wondering how much the Pacific Ocean has risen since the last time I checked, right? I mean, there’s something in the news almost every day on climate change. And according to everything we hear, the effects of global warming including rising sea levels are affecting us all and happening now.

Strangely, though, it’s hard to see any actual effects from something that is supposed to be affecting us all. But don’t worry. Propaganda usually works if applied long enough and consistently enough, and man-made climate change is being drummed into us more intensely than any other theme I can remember.

So eventually we’ll see effects, now doubt, even if they don’t exist. (hh)

Who is to say the ocean isn’t supposed to be higher?

The effect we have seen is the governing class wasting our money in a variety of ways.
The media is supposed to protect us from big government but since most journalists focus on feelings and know nothing about science, the false propaganda will continue to increase.

Thank you Hasso for you timely and interesting reports of local, community, political and public interest concerns. These reports help me stay better informed of local issues and I appreciate and applaud your efforts. Thank you, again. David.
