Here’s a target, but don’t shoot

Written August 21st, 2014 by Hasso Hering

100_1410Today, a little tip for the sign makers in state government and anywhere else:  If you don’t want people to do any target shooting, don’t make the sign in the form of a target for them to shoot at. This one, in part of the Luckiamute State Natural Area in Polk County, proved irresistible to a vandal with a .177 caliber pellet gun. (Not exactly a crack shot  either, is he?)

  1. Greg Burbach says:

I used to work for BPA. Maybe a sign like this would have stopped the gun-happy guys from shooting our insulators on the lines! I shoot guns, but not at insulators.
