The river wasn’t all that high, but the warning barricade served as a place to lean the bike on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024.
The sky above Albany brightened on Monday, and I took advantage of the good weather for an afternoon bike ride down the riverfront to Bowman Park.
News was happening elsewhere (see below), but on the riverfront there was nothing noteworthy or new to report. I took some shots anyway:

We’re not used to seeing that much blue at Bowman Park in November.

The ducks found a high spot near the Willamette River bank to bask in the afternoon sunshine.
But earlier, driving into town on Monday morning, I was reminded that Albany teachers were still on strike. The public schools have been closed because of it since the day after Veterans Day:

Thank you for all of the wonderful photos, Hasso and taking time for others to enjoy them!
Beautiful shots. Good reminder of how good we got it here in the Willamette valley.
Dear Hasso,
You always have a good eye and ability for scenic and relavent photographs. While my eyesight is getting pretty blurry, I can crisp my vision up with memories of similiar scenes.
Thank you Hasso
