Narrow passage on Cox Creek path
The occasional obstacle makes riding Albany’s bike and walking paths more interesting, wouldn’t you say?
This one was on the Cox Creek trail near Salem Avenue. It was left over from last week’s wind storm, according to the walker making her way past the obstruction along with her dog on Monday afternoon.
Good thing nobody was on that section of the trail when the tree — it looked a kind of maple — came down. In any case, path users since then had made a pathway past the downed limbs. So there was no great urgency in getting it cleared up. But knowing the parks department, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t gone the next time you go by that way. (hh)
