Left-lane bill: Who needs it?

Returning to Albany Thursday afternoon from Southern Oregon, I could see no need for Senate Bill 532, the “don’t-hog-the-left-lane bill.” All of us on the freeway did just fine without it.

Bill takes aim at left-lane hogs

On a slow day you can always amuse yourself by browsing what the Oregon legislature is up to. Take, for instance, the left-lane bill that cleared a Senate committee last Wednesday by a vote of 4 to zip.
