A plan to build a big roundabout at Gibson Hill Road and Crocker Lane in North Albany has lost a supporter on the city council, and a majority now would like to see a less expensive solution.
Use those dual lanes while you can

Better enjoy it while you can, North Albany drivers, pulling into this extra left-turn lane on Spring Hill Drive at Highway 20. This little traffic feature has been a boon to drivers, but that doesn’t count as much as ODOT regulations and concerns.

Recommendation: Scrap Spring Hill oval

The Benton County Public Works staff has reviewed the small oval “roundabout” at Spring Hill Drive and Quarry Road and is now recommending that it be removed and not replaced with a bigger one that is actually round. North Albany resident Chuck Kratch had been asking for just that.

Council: No roundabout on Gibson
Reversing a decision it made a year ago, the Albany City Council now says it does not want a full roundabout at the junction of Gibson Hill Road and Crocker Lane in North Albany.
