Driving back to Albany from Millersburg the other day, I could not help but notice, to my right, the operation to clear a vast area of land west of Old Salem Road. When I inquired, I learned the site is being prepared for the construction of a Ball Corporation factory to make aluminum cans.

Millersburg: Those tanks may soon be gone

On Oct. 25 I leaned the bike against a gate in Millersburg and wondered about the unused fuel tanks behind it. The tanks — 15 of them as shown on Google satellite view — won’t be there much longer, it turns out.

What’s that construction on Old Salem?

If they want to walk from Millersburg to Albany, or the other way, one of these days people will have a paved sidewalk to make the trip. A segment of nearly seven-tenths of a mile is under construction now.

Good progress on Truax Creek Bridge

The good news is that traffic delays because of bridge construction on Old Salem Road in Millersburg will end sooner than expected.
