Jim Ketter’s request to get rid of the barbed wire along the Albany-Santiam Canal in the Monteith Historic District, and maybe even lower the fences, has gotten nowhere so far.
Jim Ketter doesn’t know how much longer his brain tumor will allow him to live. Before he goes, he’d like the city of Albany to do something about the fencing that lines the Santiam Canal.
A dying man’s wish, unfulfilled
