It wasn’t foggy in the valley Wednesday except on I-5. And there the gray blanket in the air wasn’t fog but the usual spray kicked up by traffic. Which made me wishing for the umpteenth time for better drainage on the freeway.
There is no shortage of lines marking the lanes in this spot on Interstate 5. The trick is to know which ones count. If it looks a little confusing at first glance, it really isn’t. And it also gives the lie, at least in Oregon, to the freely bandied-about allegation that we’re not keeping our roads […]
Whether any of the changes proposed for Interstate 5 at the Santiam and Knox Butte interchanges in Albany ever get built is an open question. Still, the Albany City Council does not like some of the details and would like them at least looked at some more, and preferably changed, before they become part of any settled plans.
Not much room to pull off
Another update from the freeway beat about that cable barrier being installed on I-5 from the Harrisburg exit toward Albany:Â I’m wondering about its placement fairly close to the left-hand lanes.
