A bike ride Wednesday took me past the vacant lot at 503 Ninth Ave. S.E., where the city of Albany plans to have homeless people camp if they can’t or won’t go to a shelter.

Albany’s homeless site needs three things
Albany’s officially designated homeless camp, Marvin’s Garden, has at least three deficiencies that should be fixed, the city council learned Wednesday. Members listened to the report but made no move to act on it.
