A few more days remain before Goldfish Farm Road in northeast Albany is ready to reopen, Linn County announced today.
Goldfish Farm Road in northeast Albany, closed since April for replacement of the bridge across Cox Creek, should be open again this Friday, Linn County said today.
The contract to replace the bridge over Cox Creek on Goldfish Farm Road called for the project to be completed by now. But on a bike ride Sunday to the wilds of east Albany, I found the bridge still closed.
Goldfish Farm Road in East Albany has been closed to through traffic since early April so a contractor could replace the bridge across Cox Creek. In little more than three weeks, the road should be open again.
On a bike ride Friday, I took another look at Goldfish Farm Road, where a contractor for Linn County this week started replacing the bridge over Cox Creek.
Goldfish Farm Road, between Knox Butte Road and Santiam Highway on the east side of Albany, will be closed to through traffic starting Monday so the bridge across Cox Creek can be replaced.

The last story here about the replacement of the Cox Creek Bridge on Goldfish Farm Road said the contractor was shooting to reopen the road to traffic by the end of Sunday, Oct. 5.
