No one knows how much time it will take to carry out the Albany City Council’s direction to install flashing lights in the school zone on North Albany Road. The lights are to tell drivers that the speed limit is 20 mph, not 40 as at other times.
The city of Albany’s new speed cameras on North Albany Road will come with warnings that indicate when the school zone speed limit of 20 mph is in effect.

City asks for flashing-light bids on NA Road
In line with direction from the Albany City Council, the city staff has invited contractors to bid for the job of installing flashing lights in the school zone on North Albany Road.
