Years ago, the weekly farmers’ market drew people to the Albany riverfront on Saturday mornings. It will do so again starting next spring.
Give the vendors at the Albany Farmers’ Market credit for hanging in there, especially in the fall when the number of customers shrinks and the weather gets worse.
I missed the announcement if there was one, so it was a pleasant surprise on Saturday to find the Carnegie Library in downtown Albany open.
You’ll have to wait a few months if you want to get some stuff at the weekly farmers’ market in Albany. The Saturday market finished its season this week. And if the usual schedule is followed again in 2015, it will reopen in April.

Farmers’ market returns to riverfront
The Albany farmers’ market opened its 2026 season today by returning to the riverfront, its Saturday home for 28 years until it moved near City Hall in 2007.
