Potholes being a constant local concern, in February I wrote about the rocky shape of Sixth Avenue in front of Albany General Hospital. So I was interested to see what the City of Albany has just posted on social media.
A towering cottonwood in front of North Albany Elementary School was felled on Monday, raising fears that it was just the first to be cut down. But no, the other stately trees on the school grounds (mostly conifers) are safe.
Watching new roundabout, seeing it work
The mini-roundabout on Salem Avenue at Waverly Drive was opened over Labor Day weekend last year. Eight months later, it is still giving some people fits, or so it seems.
