Albany has lots of laws intended to safeguard the city’s livability, and the city council has just consolidated them in one chapter of the municipal code. The idea is to make it easier to find what’s allowed and what’s not.

Buyer hopes to fix up condemned dwelling
Three years ago the city of Albany condemned a manufactured house on Pine Street as a “derelict structure.” Now a prospective new owner hopes to turn the place into somebody’s home once again.
