I had hoped I was through with this topic, but evidently not. The left-side reverse angled parking on Second Avenue in front of the Albany Post Office continues to stump at least some drivers, including the one who parked that silver car.

Checking in on back-in parking

Back-in angled parking on Second Avenue in front of the Albany Post Office, installed this spring on the left-hand side of the one-way street, continues to be a challenge, a point borne out by these photos snapped on Monday afternoon.


Back-in parking on the wrong side

Albany officials cite several benefits of the back-in diagonal parking that will be installed on three sides of the post office starting in January. They don’t mention the downside, which motorists will probably notice when they try to use the new setup.
