Like in past years, the back and forth of aquatic growth on Waverly and other Albany lakes has provided fodder for this blog over much of this summer. On a bike ride Monday I noticed yet another change.
A different kind of watery plant has covered almost all of Albany’s Waverly Lake with a greenish carpet of muck. But this is expected to be temporary, likely to disappear when it starts raining.
Watching the lakes and seeing them change
