Now it’s up to neighborhood residents — and anyone else interested — to start using the fitness court that’s been installed at Burkhart Park in Albany.
So this is what the new fitness court in Albany looks like. I’ve written about it several times, and on Thursday I took a look at the completed thing.
You’ve read here, most recently on Sept. 21, about the new fitness court at Burkhart Park in Albany. The city council authorized the parks department to buy the court in June, and now the equipment is being installed.
There’s a new concrete pad on the northeast corner of Burkhart Park in Albany. It’s where the city parks and recreation department will install a “fitness court” that is set to be ready next month.
On Albany’s Dave Clark Riverfront Path you routinely encounter walkers, with or without dogs, and the occasional person on a scooter or bike. And now and then you see something of which you don’t know what to make.
Albany will soon have its first “park ranger,” though this was not what the job was called when the city council voted to create the position in October last year.
