So we’ll have to wait five months before we can enjoy wandering through the Albany Farmers’ Market once again. Saturday was its last day for 2016, and as the sign said, it won’t reopen until the third Saturday next April.

If you like outdoor music performed live by local artists, the Albany Farmers’ Market is the place you want to be on Saturday mornings. But because it’s fall, time is running out. Only a few Saturdays remain before the market makes its last appearance of 2016 on Nov. 19.

Saturdays won’t be the quite same for the next few months without the Albany Farmers’ Market. Today (Nov. 21), a handful of vendors set up for the last of these events during 2015.

Not the last market of the year…
Even though its regular reason ends Nov. 21, this was not the last Albany Farmers’ Market of the year after all. I was reminded of this when someone pressed a little handbill into my hand at the market today.
