Renovating the historic Oregon Electric Railway depot in Albany to house the Sybaris Bistro restaurant involves building a 4,004-square-foot addition, according to a site plan filed with the city.

Hopes of finding a time capsule in the ruins of the former First National Bank Building in downtown Albany have faded.

Safe doors secured; still waiting for time capsule

The doors to the safe of Albany’s historic First National Bank have been saved as the building is being torn down. Now the big question is whether the cornerstone still contains the time capsule placed within it in 1912.
