This is a nice spot to get off the bike and look around. (It’s on Old Stage Road outside of Jacksonville.)
Everybody has to take some time off now and then. Which I did this week and got out of town.
And on a bicycle ride one evening outside of Jacksonville in Southern Oregon, I got off the bike at a handy stopping point, whipped out my phone and looked around:
As you could tell if you watched it, there was no particular point to that rambling discourse. Unless it was to show my appreciation for the Oregon countryside.
No sprawling subdivisions in this spot, no towering apartment blocks, no huge parking lots. Just sweeping views across open country. Long may it last. (hh)

Thanks Hasso! I very much enjoy your videos, your commentary, and your documentation of all things Oregon — with an Albany focus of course!
Thanks for reminding me I haven’t been to Jacksonville since way too long. Beautiful area. Need to get back there.
Such beautiful country, foresure! Thanks Hasso, your video is so calming and enjoyable.
Enjoy your time off…….now back to that Wells Fargo parking lot..oh too soon..my bad
Thanks for showing the video. Wait till the population gets to 10,000 in Jacksonville and the state forces them to change develoment code to allow those three story apartments etc. Hope they don’t get there anytime soon.
