A wild idea for Periwinkle Path

As part of the big home improvement center it is building in Albany, the Lowe’s company is extending the Periwinkle Bike Path all along the eastern boundary of its site. When it’s done, the path will dead-end on Ninth Avenue. And that brings me to a wild idea.

Medical marijuana dispensaries in Oregon can sell limited amounts of recreational weed starting Oct. 1, but probably not in Albany. The city council voted 4-2 Wednesday night in favor of prohibiting medical dispensaries from selling recreational pot.
