A perspective from Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley

Watching the water rise, slowly

Written February 13th, 2014 by Hasso Hering

If you have nothing else to do around Albany, you can watch the water rise, ever so slowly, at the lowest point of Bryant Way just outside the city limits. I was on a bike ride Thursday afternoon when I noticed that the water in this flood channel of the Calapooia River seemed to be about to reach the travel lanes. As I was leaving, a Linn County truck was on its way to check it out. (hh)

Just curious, is another person taping when you speak, or are doing a “selfie?”
