A North Albany subdivision originally approved for 22 single-family homes has been built to accommodate 80 townhouses instead.

City files for review of riverfront renovation

Albany is taking another step toward redeveloping the Willamette riverfront. One department of the city government has applied to another for approval of a site plan and related permits for making changes in Monteith Riverpark, on the Dave Clark Path, and along Water Avenue.

So what’s the deal with the unfinished construction at the former San Blas Mexican Restaurant at Bain Street and Santiam Highway? That was the gist of an email that arrived last week.

The bike and I took a detour down Thurston Street from Queen Avenue this week. And as expected, the Albany city project to do something for the Sunrise Park neighborhood was well under way.

Wetlands snag held up apartments, now resolved
